Other than our regular worship services our Compassionate Ministries
Program is available four days a week. Through Cherokee Compassionate
Ministries, Inc. we are able to operate an emergency food box and clothing ministry. We also keep on hand a few infant supplies (diapers, formula, & baby food).
As resources are available, we offer blankets during winter months; limited
transportation to laundromats, grocery stores, doctor appointments and the like; minor repairs to local houses; and, heating oil assistance.Cherokee Compassionate Ministries, Inc. also manages the community Traveler's Assistance Program which provides the stranded tourist with a tank of gas and a meal so that they can return home. In the case of a severe emergency, such as an accident, illness, or death, one night's stay in a motel room may be granted.
Regular operating hours for Cherokee Compassionate Ministries, Inc. are Monday - Thursday, 9:00 to 4:00. During the year we receive Work & Witness Teams to assist with various projects. They include: building renovation, summer VBS and backyard VBS, youth and children's rallies and programs. A list of projects is available by contacting the pastors.
